The restaurant and venue has been serving authentic German cuisine and beer in downtown Tulsa since its opening in September 2010. Fassler Hall also features live music several times a week.
The Oklahoma City location will be a two-story operation at 421 NW 10th Street, just east of Brown’s Bakery.
The Midtown location is projected to be quite large,
but there is a significant discrepancy about how large the building might be. The Oklahoman reports that the building will be 40,000 square feet, while The Journal Record reports it will only be 17,000 square feet. UPDATE: The building has been confirmed at 39,331 square feet.
Whatever the case, the building will be larger than the Tulsa location, which has a capacity of just over 200. The building will also hold a 8,000 square foot outdoor beer garden and the second location of Dust Bowl Lanes, a twelve-lane bowling alley and bar.
While Fassler Hall’s second location most likely does not solve the lack of mid-sized venues (750 to 1,500 capacity) in Oklahoma City, it does fill the live music void that has existed in Midtown for almost a decade.
