Betterton moved to Kansas City around 2000 and later fronted the KC punk bands The Enablers and Hopeless Destroyers.
A memorial service for Betterton will be held at 4pm today (Sunday, November 24) at Oklahoma Contemporary, formerly known as City Arts Center, on the OKC Fairgrounds.
